Real story
Split screen. Left: two coworkers sitting at the same desk, sharing one computer screen, talking over each other. Right: two coworkers in separate offices, each writing memos and sliding them under the other's door. Both are trying to collaborate. Both have problems.

Two offices. Same problem. Different disasters.

Company A put their entire engineering team in one room with one shared whiteboard. Every conversation was visible to everyone. By noon, nobody could think. Every update interrupted every person. The whiteboard was full of crossed-out notes.

Company B put every engineer in a separate office with no shared tools. They communicated by sending emails. By noon, three teams had built the same feature because nobody knew what the others were doing.

Agents have the same problem. How they share information determines whether they collaborate or collide.
