What are guardrails — CCA-F Exam Prep

REAL STORYSplit screen. Left: a car drifting on a highway, bouncing off a sturdy metal guardrail, sparks flying, car continues safely. Right: the same car drifting on a highway with no guardrail, sailing off a cliff edge into darkness below. Same car, same drift, different outcome.

Same highway. Same speed. Same driver. Same drift.

On one road, the car hits a metal guardrail. Sparks. It bounces back. Driver corrects and keeps going. On the other road, the car drifts the same way. There's nothing there. It goes off the cliff.
